STUDIES ON THE BULGARIAN VASCULARFLORA DURING THE PERIOD 2017-2023

This overview of taxonomic and floristic studies on the Bulgarian vascular plants summarizes the information on the new species established on it territory during the period 2017-2023, published by Bulgarian and foreign authors. As a result, during this period, a total of 168 new taxa, belonging to 40 families were identified for the Bulgarian flora. The distribution of two new alien genera (Lagarosiphon and Rotala) was also established. Fifty nine taxa new to science have been described, of which 48 are from the genus Taraxacum. Forty seven species (ca. 29%) of the established new species are alien, entered and distributed in the country. Thirty seven species are erroneously reported instead of others, not confirmed, or distributed outside the country's borders.
